About This Ingredient

A biomimetic signal peptide, paired in our formulas with biochanin A from red clover — together, the molecules of CAPIXYL™.

The receipt: in an independent, triple-blind, 24-week randomised trial, the biochanin-A + acetyl-tetrapeptide-3 combination raised terminal hair count 8.3% versus 8.7% for 3% minoxidil — no statistically significant difference (Lueangarun & Panchaprateep 2020). Biochanin A inhibits the scalp's type-2 5α-reductase in independent laboratory work (Hiipakka 2002).

What it does not do: the trial receipt belongs to the combination at its working dose — the supplier range is 3–5%, and our serum runs 5%. In wash-off formats the peptide appears at lower, supporting levels, and we make no efficacy claim there. It does not 'stop' shedding and is not a treatment for diagnosed hair loss.
