About This Ingredient

Argania spinosa kernel oil, rich in γ-tocopherol. Its strongest receipt is skin: nightly argan significantly improved skin elasticity over 60 days in a randomised trial (Boucetta, Clin Interv Aging 2015) — and scalp is also skin.

The mechanism: on hair, argan is a bulky, linoleic-dominant triglyceride. It deposits on the cuticle — smoothness, slip, shine — and ex-vivo work shows reduced protein loss after oxidative damage (Sharifi 2022, in vitro).

What it does not do: it does not penetrate the hair cortex — bulky oils of this class stay at the surface (Rele & Mohile 2003) — it does not grow hair, and it does not 'restore the F-layer'. Surface conditioning, honestly stated.
