About This Ingredient

Apium graveolens seed extract — a botanical long used in scalp preparations, carried in our detox line.

The mechanism: an aromatic botanical in the scalp-comfort class; its chemistry (apiin and flavonoids) is characterised in vitro.

What it does not do: it does not control Malassezia and does not treat dandruff or itch the way a drug would — no clinical receipt exists for celery seed on the scalp, so we make no such claim.
