Squalene-rich olive emollience at named doses — surface conditioning with decades of dermatology behind the squalane.

About This Ingredient

Olea europaea — in our formulas chiefly as olive-derived squalane, at 0.1–2%.

The mechanism: squalane is one of dermatology's best-tolerated emollients, mimicking skin's own squalene; on hair it smooths and softens the cuticle surface.

What it does not do: olive oil does not penetrate the fiber — bulky triglycerides stay at the surface (Rele & Mohile 2003) — and 'mirror shine' is not a measured endpoint. Surface emollience, stated plainly.
