About This Ingredient

A concentrated red-onion extract with a high quercetin and organosulphur profile.

The mechanism: an antioxidant scalp-environment botanical. The famous onion figure — 87% regrowth — came from raw onion juice applied to alopecia areata, an autoimmune condition (Sharquie, J Dermatol 2002).

What it does not do: that 87% does not transfer to any cosmetic dose or to pattern thinning, and quercetin's 5α-reductase activity weakens in whole cells (Azizi, F1000Research 2021).
